Dr. Louis P. Caravella
Dr. Louis P. Caravella is a Board Certified ophthalmologist who has practiced in the Cleveland area for over twenty years. He received his medical degree from St. Louis University and completed his residency at Ohio State University. In 1979, Dr. Caravella established The Eye Centers, dedicating the Center's practice to the highest quality of eye care, including the latest techniques in the medical, laser, and surgical treatment of eye disease. Throughout his career Dr. Caravella has been active in promoting patient centered high quality eye care. As an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology he has been teaching new doctors the latest techniques in eye surgery including Refractive Surgery (LASIK) and Excimer Laser. He is a well respected clinician who has served as the Chief of Staff at Fairview Hospital as well as the Chief of the Section of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Eye Bank as well as the Advisory Board of the Cleveland Sight Center and is past president of the Cleveland Ophthalmology Society. In September 2003, he became one of the first physicians in Ohio to be certified for the Intraocular Contact Lens. Dr. Caravella’s first love remains patient care with an emphasis on Intraocular, Oculoplastic, and Custom Refractive Surgeries.

Dr. Todd Hershner
Dr. Hershner is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry. His residency at University of Alabama at Birmingham was in family practice and disease. Dr. Hershner is national board-certified and has practiced medical optometry at The Fairview Eye & Laser Center since 1990. He currently serves as Chief Of Clinical Services at The Eye Centers. Dr. Hershner performs comprehensive eye examinations, postoperative eye care, and medical treatment of non surgical eye problems.

Dr. Carla M. Krebs
Dr. Carla M. Krebs is a board certified ophthalmologist who completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and Ophthalmology residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Krebs practices comprehensive ophthalmology including small incision cataract surgery, oculoplastics, pediatric exams and surgery, glaucoma management, and laser surgery.

Dr. Michael Novak
Dr. Novak received his BA and MD degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his ophthalmology and retinal training at the Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Novak is an instructor of ophthalmology residents at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital of Cleveland and at Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Novak's principal area of interest is retinal and vitreous surgery.

Dr. Ken Koster (Retired)
Dr. Charles Koster has served as the Chief of Ophthalmology at Lakewood Hospital, president of the Cleveland Ophthalmology Society, president of the medical staff of St. John Westshore Hospital, and is active in the Cleveland Academy of Medicine. His specialty is cataracts and general ophthalmology.

Dr. Steven R. Meadows
Dr. Steven Meadows grew up in Lakewood and graduated from Lakewood High School. A true Buckeye; he attended The Ohio State University for college, medical school, and his residency in Ophthalmology. Dr Meadows has conducted research into new treatments for Macular Degeneration as well as studying glaucoma in Aborigines while living in Australia. His wife, Julie Palomaki-Meadows, is also a native of Lakewood and together they have two wonderful sons. Dr. Meadows enjoys spending his free time having fun with his family, working on home improvement projects, or watching the Browns, Indians, or Cavs. Dr. Meadows is dedicated to delivering outstanding, personal, state-of-the-art eye care. He is an exceptional and talented surgeon, and treats all eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, dry eyes, as well as many others. Dr. Meadows performs Laser Vision Correction, he is an iLASIK CustomVue certified surgeon and offers customized LASIK treatment to your personal needs. Dr. Meadows is passionate about taking care of his patients. He also feels privileged to be able to improve patients’ lives by restoring their vision. Dr. Steve Meadows has been with The Eye Centers since 2005 and is accepting new patients. He would be happy to schedule a consultation or routine eye exam with you.
Dr. Theodore E. Loizos
Dr. Loizos was born and raised in Old Brooklyn and graduated from St. Ignatius High School. He attended college at Cornell University. For medical school, he graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University, where he was a member of the Omega Alpha Honor Society. During his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospital, he received the Transitional Year Resident of the Year Award. Dr. Loizos then returned to The Ohio State University for his residency in Ophthalmology, where he conducted research on diabetes and early detection of diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Loizos treats all eye conditions including cataracts, diabetes, macular degeneration and glaucoma, specializing in small-incision cataract surgery. He also performs general and pediatric eye exams. Dr. Loizos currently lives in Rocky River with his wife and three children. They are active members of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. Dr. Loizos is excited to return to Cleveland to raise his family. He joined The Eye Centers in 2009 and feels honored to bring his surgical talents to serve our community. He is accepting new patients and would be pleased to schedule a consultation or routine eye exam with you.
Dr. Gwen Giannini Miller
Dr. Miller is a graduate of Duquesne University with a dual degree of Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Classical Civilization. She graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She resides in Bay Village with her husband and son. She is an avid sports fan and serves on her Church's council. Dr. Miller has been practicing in the Lakewood Area since 2002. She performs routine eye examinations, contact lens fittings/evaluations, and low vision examinations. She is accepting new patients at this time.
